Gantry milling machine mainly consists of a portal frame, an electric control system and a bed work table. The portal frame is composed of a column and a top beam, with a beam in the middle. The beam can move up and down along the guide rails. There are 1-2 spindle milling heads mounted on the cross beam, which can be moved horizontally along the crossbeam guide rails. Two horizontal milling heads are installed on the two columns. Each milling head can be operated independently.

1. Installation foundation: The working accuracy of the milling machine is closely related to the structural rigidity of the installed foundation. The poor foundation construction causes deformation after being subjected to the load and can seriously impair the precision of the machine tool. The preparation of the installation foundation must take into account soil conditions and temperature changes, groundwater, etc. Impact, construction and installation of foundations should be carried out according to the foundation map. With concrete numbered 100 to 150, holes for installing foundation screws are to be left. The depth of excavation is determined by the carrying capacity of the soil, and the ground plan specifies the minimum depth. The base surface should be flat and the mounting planer must be done after the concrete has completely dried.

2. Installation position: In order to maintain the working accuracy of the machine tool, it is better to choose the location of the impact, vibration and temperature change in the installation location, which is convenient for parts lifting and transportation and places where traffic does not hinder. In addition, it is also necessary to eliminate the need to install the milling machine in a place where dust and metal shavings often fly directly. Avoid rapid wear and scratches on the guide surface. The limit size of the table at both ends of the movement can refer to the ground diagram. The installation position of the electrical cabinet on the foundation plan is for reference only. The layout of the shop floor may be determined by the user in the layout (but the length of the cable should be considered).
